One Fine Day On Iron Giant - Part 2

Got a comment from Dave Nethery about the Iron Giant outtake and he was kind enough to link me to info on how to actually load a quicktime movie, which I hadn't any idea how to before. Thanks Dave.

And thanks to my assistant back then, Ryan Carlson helping me bang this thing out in a few hours for approvals the next day.

So here's the actual outtake that isn't in the movie.

Looks great Kev. I'd always heard Iron Giant was a "blast" to work on.;) Nice bit to add to your reel.

Kevin,

Nicely done. I remember very well what great 'slug slime' you produced for the Disney Dodge campaign. Reminds me of how great seeing a successful ~first take~ pencil test can make one feel. Particularly when up against the clock.

Hope you're well.

gee thanks dave. this one is hidden amongst the easter eggs on the special edition dvd. There's more really nice outtakes on there as well, like of the giant and others.

still love that Kevin. :)

Iron Giant remains one of my all time favorites, too! You were lucky to have worked on it!

Funnnyy! Man, I didn't remember this outtake - thanks for sharing it! I'd love to see the other easter eggs from the dvd.

Good stuff Kevin!

Thanks Greg. Well you know us effects folk, we're not really known for our outtakes!

I'll post the others when I come back from my trip. I'm not even sure where all of them are on the dvd to tell you the truth. This one was under the title card with Hogarth's teacher up at the chalkboard.
